Class Notation of External FiFi System:
A) Class FiFi-1/2 or Lower: For FiFi systems with capacities less than FiFi-1, classification is not mandatory. These systems typically feature fire pumps driven by dedicated diesel engines, electric motors, or M/E PTO via gearboxes. This configuration assures robust and reliable firefighting capabilities.
A typical Class FiFi-1/2 setup includes either two units of 600 m3/h or one unit of 1200 m3/h water/foam monitor. This arrangement guarantees efficient and effective fire suppression, ensuring safety and reliability.
Classes Lower than FiFi-1/2: These systems generally have a total capacity ranging from 180 m3/hr to 800 m3/hr, custom-designed to meet specific firefighting requirements with precision and efficiency.
B) Class FiFi-1 System: This system comprises two fire monitors with a combined water capacity of 2400 m3/hr, one to two fire pumps, and a water spray system adhering to classification regulations. With a minimum throw length of 120m and a height of 45m in still air, it provides comprehensive fire coverage.
C) Class FiFi-2 System: This advanced system features three to four fire monitors with a total water capacity of 7200 m3/h, supported by two to four fire pumps, and a water spray system that meets classification standards. The system guarantees a minimum throw length of 150m and a height of 70m in still air, offering extensive firefighting reach.
D) Class FiFi-3 System: This top-tier system includes four fire monitors with a total water capacity of 9600 m3/h, supported by two to four fire pumps and a compliant water spray system. It ensures a minimum throw length of 150m and a height of 70m in still air. Additionally, the system features two foam monitors, each with a capacity of 300 m3/h and a throw height of 50m, providing unparalleled fire suppression efficacy.
