Class Notation of External FiFi System:
A) Class FiFi-1/2 or Lower FiFi systems, with capacities less than FiFi-1, have no classification requirement. These fire pumps are typically powered by dedicated diesel engines, electric motors, or M/E PTO via gearboxes, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
A typical Class FiFi-1/2 configuration includes either 2 units of 600 m3/h or 1 unit of 1200 m3/h water/foam monitor, providing exceptional firefighting capabilities.
Classes lower than FiFi-1/2 feature systems with a total capacity ranging from 180 m3/hr to 800 m3/hr, suitable for a variety of marine firefighting applications.
B) The Class FiFi-1 system comprises 2 fire monitors with a combined water capacity of 2400 m3/hr, supported by 1-2 fire pumps and a water spray system that adheres to classification regulations. The system ensures a minimum throw length of 120m and a minimum throw height of 45m in still air conditions.
C) The Class FiFi-2 system includes 3-4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 7200 m3/h, coupled with 2-4 fire pumps and a water spray system meeting classification standards. This system guarantees a minimum throw length of 150m and a minimum throw height of 70m in still air.
D) The Class FiFi-3 system features 4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 9600 m3/h, alongside 2-4 fire pumps and a water spray system that meets classification criteria. It ensures a minimum throw length of 150m and a minimum throw height of 70m in still air. Additionally, 2 foam monitors are included, each with a capacity of 300 m3/h and a throw height of 50m.
