Underwater air lift bags also resemble the shape of a water drop. In general, the open bottom underwater air buoyancy bag is used for deeper depths for salvage buoyancy, as the parachute design provides greater stability and the open bottom design provides greater safety when lifting heavy loads. The closed bottom subsea air lift bag can be used for surface flotation as well as opening the bottom unit for use as an open bottom buoyancy bag.

The underwater lift bag is therefore a multi-purpose floating inflatable salvage buoyancy bag. It is particularly suitable for subsea diving and lifting, offshore salvage, lifting and salvaging, floating bag salvage and underwater buoyancy.
