Class Notation of External FiFi System:
A) Class FiFi-1/2 or lower FiFi systems, with capacities less than FiFi-1, do not require classification. These fire pumps are usually powered by dedicated diesel engines, electric motors, or M/E PTO via gearboxes.
Typical Configuration of Class FiFi-1/2: Comprises 2 units of 600 m3/h or a single unit of 1200 m3/h water/foam monitor.
Class Lower than FiFi-1/2 Systems: Generally feature total capacities ranging from 180 m3/h to 800 m3/h.
B) Class FiFi-1 System: Consists of 2 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 2400 m3/h, 1-2 fire pumps, and a water spray system that complies with classification regulations. Minimum throw length for water in still air is 120m and the minimum throw height is 45m.
C) Class FiFi-2 System: Comprises 3-4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 7200 m3/h, 2-4 fire pumps, and a water spray system adhering to classification standards. Minimum throw length for water in still air is 150m, and the minimum throw height is 70m.
D) Class FiFi-3 System: Features 4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 9600 m3/h, 2-4 fire pumps, and a water spray system that meets classification regulations. Minimum throw length for water in still air is 150m, and the minimum throw height is 70m. Additionally, 2 foam monitors are fitted, each with a capacity of 300 m3/h and a throw height of 50m.
