Class Notation of External FiFi System:
A) Class FiFi-1/2 or lower FiFi systems with capacities below FiFi-1 do not necessitate classification. These systems are powered by either dedicated diesel engines, electric motors, or M/E PTO via gearboxes, delivering robust and reliable firefighting performance.
A standard Class FiFi-1/2 setup comprises either 2 units of 600 m3/h or 1 unit of 1200 m3/h water/foam monitor, ensuring efficient and effective fire suppression solutions.
Classes lower than FiFi-1/2 typically have an aggregate capacity ranging from 180 m3/hr to 800 m3/hr, precisely engineered to meet specific firefighting requirements.
B) A Class FiFi-1 system includes 2 fire monitors with a combined water capacity of 2400 m3/hr, 1-2 fire pumps, and a classification-compliant water spray system. The system ensures a minimum throw length of 120m and a throw height of 45m in still air, providing comprehensive coverage.
C) A Class FiFi-2 system incorporates 3-4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 7200 m3/h, 2-4 fire pumps, and a water spray system adhering to classification standards. It ensures a minimum throw length of 150m and a throw height of 70m in still air, offering extensive reach.
D) A Class FiFi-3 system features 4 fire monitors with a total water capacity of 9600 m3/h, 2-4 fire pumps, and a compliant water spray system. It guarantees a minimum throw length of 150m and a throw height of 70m in still air. Additionally, it includes 2 foam monitors, each with a capacity of 300 m3/h and a throw height of 50m, ensuring superior fire suppression efficacy.
